Historically, on January 06, 1907, Maria Montessori opened her first school and daycare center for Working Class Children in Rome.
Hence, Centre for Media & Public Affairs (CMPA) considers 'January 06' as a significant day to realize the importance of educating the children of working class in a progressive nation like India.
Shriram Matriculation School at Thiruneermalai, Sri Sri Vidya Mandir School at Thirukadaiyur, VSR Montessori School at Reddivaripalle are among the institutions run by Shriram Foundation where Montessori environments are in place with trained teachers.
The work of Shriram Foundation has demonstrated the impact of Montessori education and the need to provide children with high caliber facilitators of learning rather than ‘teachers’.
