Mr. Arun Athiappan, Co-Founder & CEO of Efficsys Infotech India Pvt Ltd, the promoters of the portal Ticketgoose.com, is an entrepreneur who wanted to solve the innumerable issues of bus ticketing experienced by all travelers by providing easy access to bus tickets online through the web portal – www.Ticketgoose.com.
Mr. Arun Athiappan has 15 years of professional experience across regional & international markets. His varied and rich experience include working as a General Manager at the Computer Sciences Corporation heading large project teams in the logistics vertical, as a Senior Consultant at US based Covansys Corporation, where he had designed, architected and led multiple projects in the Entertainment, Insurance & Healthcare domains.
Prior to Covansys, Mr. Arun Athiappan had a short stint at HCL from January 2000 to November 2000 as a tech lead involved in leading a team of developers in design, development and implementation of a project in the telcom space.
Before that, he had worked as a senior consultant with Advanced Technology Labs from November 1998 to December 1999. He has the experience of being an entrepreneur from 1993 to 1998 during which he founded and lead a small software development company called Abacus Systems. During this stint, Mr. Arun and his team developed quite a few software solutions to industries like Spinning, Bus body building, Knitting and business like Finance, Petrol pumps, Truck Operators etc.
MR. Arun has been the Secretary of the Rotary Club of Namakkal and has also been one of the directors of TEAM (www.indiateam.org), a non-profit organization working for improvement of basic infrastructure facilities in poor schools.
Mr. Arun graduated from PSG college of Technology, Coimbatore with a Mechanical Engineering degree in 1992. During his student years, he served as a student executive in the Institution of Engineers, Student Chapter; was elected to serve as a Secretary of the Students Union; was unanimously elected and served as Secretary of the Photographic Club. MR. Arun likes to read a lot. He likes to read business management books, history and fiction.. Mr. Arun, who is also immensely interested in photography, now lives in Chennai.
