About 4.40 Crore subscribers, India has the 5th highest number of smartphone users in the world.
China leads the pack with nearly 27 crore users. India's growth in smartphones has been pegged at nearly 52 per cent, which is higher than China & US.
It is worth noting that in India, smartphone users comprise 4 per cent of the total mobile subscribers.

As of fourth quarter of 2012, there are 110 crore smartphone subscribers globally, reporting a 42 per cent growth.
