Indian Residential Properties : Prices up 12% in 2012

According to real estate advisory company Cushman & Wakefield (C & W), prices of residential properties across major Indian cities have risen by up to 12 per cent in 2012.

While prices have risen at many locations pan India compared with the year ago period, the average increase in price of middle end properties has been 10 per cent and that of highend properties 12 per cent, C & W India said in a report.

The Delhi NCR (National Capital Region) has recorded the steepest growth in price, with high-end houses witnessing an average 22 per cent jump in value in the last one year.

A close next in this segment is Pune with an average rise of 20 percent. Chennai has recorded the highest increase in prices in the middle end segment at 16 per cent, followed by Delho NCR at 15 per cent and Mumbai at 14  per cent.
