Officially recognised
as the world’s tallest hotel at a height of 355 metres, only about 25 metres
short of the Empire State Building in New York, the JW Marriott Marquis has
been dubbed Dubai’s first world class convention & business destination hotel.
82 Storey..!
The hotel is opening
in several phases, with its first tower of 804 rooms and suites in its soft
opening phase, and with 3 of the final 9 restaurants.
By January, 2013 the
hotel will have all 9 restaurants & 5 bars and lounges open, with a grand
opening scheduled to take place in February, 2013.
The 82 - storey,
1,608 room hotel represents another record breaking structure for a city that
already boasts the tallest building & the largest shopping mall.
General Manager Mr.
Rupprecht Queitsch personally greeted the first guests - Mr. Tommaso Bendoni,
GlobeSoccer, which will hold its annual event in the JW Marriott Marquis Hotel
Dubai next December (2012) month - and Mr. Fadi Deek, Director, Boeing IT
Middle East & Africa.

Hotel, Dubai is an outstanding addition to the JW Marriott portfolio & we
are eager to introduce it to the international business community" said
Mr. Queitsch.
Mr. Queitsch, added,
“The JW Marriott Marquis will add significantly to Dubai in its drive to become
the preferred choice for meetings, incentives, conference & events
business. We are working in tandem with the Dubai Tourism & Commerce
Marketing and Dubai Convention Bureau to put Dubai on the global business
destination map”
In July, 2012 hotel
giant Marriott International said its Middle East operations outpaced those
elsewhere in the world in the second quarter of 2012.
I have searched all the place where i can get the details like we get in local business listing. I searched about the Marriott hotel in india and what i can find is about the Mumbai. However it is not so tall as the one in Dubai but is well known in the city.
