NABH Accreditation Accorded to SREE RENGA HOSPITAL, Chengleput

Sree Renga Hospital, Chengleput, recently announced that they had received the coveted & prestigious NABH accreditation with effect from November 17, 2012. The accreditation was presented by Dr.R.V.Karanjekar, Treasurer, NABH Consortium and Dr.Gayatri Mahindroo, Director, NABH.

Sree Renga Hospital is the first Hospital (with less than 50 beds, under main category ) in Tamil Nadu to receive this accreditation.  Though this is a small secondary care hospital, this accreditation has given immense momentum to the healthcare community in Chengalpattu to transform.  

Sree Renga Hospital has been tested against 10 chapters (5 patient centered &  5 organizations centered), -- standards and -- objective elements. NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Health care Providers) is the highest Accreditation given to Hospitals in India by QCI (Quality Council of India, Delhi) this accreditation is given after an independent external peer assessment of that organizations’ level of performance in relation to the standards set by QCI.

NABH standards have been accredited by the International society of Quality Assurance in Health Care (ISQua), Board of Asian Society for quality in healthcare (ASQua) and Represents on Advisory Board of Medical Tourism Association, (MTA) USA.

Receiving the accreditation, Dr. K. P. Pichumani, Managing Director, Sree Renga Hospital, said, “It is a great honour for each and every one of us at Sree Renga Hospital to receive this distinction.
