L&T Insurance: My:Health Medisure Classic Insurance Plan..!

This policy covers  maternity expenses ( After 4 continuous years of renewal)

L&T Insurance's my:health Medisure Classic Insurance plan is a basic hospitalisation health insurance policy. It covers policyholder against minimum 24 hour hospitalisation due to sickness or /  accident.

* In case policyholder has exhausted his /her  whole sum insured during any policy year then this policy allows him to claim once more up to the sum insured, for any hospitalisation due to accident.

* This policy covers maternity expenses after four continuous years of renewal. On payment of additional premium, policyholder may also opt for critical cover and waiver of room rent sub-limits.

*  The entry age is 18 years while there is no maximum age. However, policyholders above the age of 51 years have to go for medical tests.

* Hospital expenses related to in-patient treatments would be covered. There is a cap of one (1) per cent of sum insured or maximum up to Rs 4,000, whichever is lower, for room rents per day.

* In case of intensive care unit (ICU) cap is two (2) per cent of sum insured or maxi mum up to Rs. 6,000 per day.

* Expenses incurred 30 prior and up to 60 days after actual hospitali sation are covered as pre & post-hopsitalisation.

* Policy would provide 10% of sum insured or / up to Rs. 20,000 for normal child delivery and 20% of sum insured or up to Rs. 40,000 for caesarean process.

* Premium for basic cover of Rs. 5 lakh, without critical illness or /  waiver of room rent caps, ranges between Rs. 5,035 and Rs. 37,548 for an individual between the ages of 18 ­and 85.

* Premium range for waiver of room rent cap is Rs. 1,410 to Rs 12,246.

* For critical illness cover of Rs. 5 lakh, individual between the age of 18 years to 85 years, premium range is Rs. 112 to Rs. 2,388.
