At the Moscow
International Business Center, Mercury City Tower was recently unveiled as
Europe's tallest skyscraper in Moscow.
The 1,112 feet (339
meter) tall Mercury City Tower, primarily owned by billionaire Mr. Igor Kesaev,
is one of the buildings that form the Moscow International Business Center also
known as ‘Moskva-City’.
The tower, which is
still under construction, reached its full height recently, making it the
tallest skyscraper in Europe at present, overtaking the Shard in London.
The 70-story
skyscraper, designed by American architect Mr. Frank Williams, who died in
2010, and Russia’s Mikhail Posokhin, is due to be completed by early next year.
Investment in the
project totalled $100 crore. The tower has nearly 90,000 square meter (About 9,70,000 square
feet) of office space and 20,000 square meter of apartments.
The starting price
for flats in Mercury City is reportedly $ 11,100 per square meter. Moskva-City
is the Russian capital’s emerging financial district.
