Indian real estate
body CREDAI (Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India)
has roped in the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B).
Mr. Jaxay Shah, VP,
CREDAI and Director, Savvy Infrastructure Ltd, "We are setting up an institute
of research & professional studies in real estate for aspiring
professionals near Ahmedabad. Apart from research facilities, we will offer
courses on various real estate related subjects. For this, we have tied up with
IIM Bangalore which will help us in creating the curriculum from the management
perspective"
IIM - B (as part of
its Executive Education Programme) & CREDAI are working together to conduct
a custom executive education programme for CREDAI Members.
To come up near
Kensville Golf & Country Club near Ahmedabad, the institute will carry an
initial intake of 25 candidates. It will be launching the institute on 26th of
this October month.
Apart from an
institute, CREDAI has also announced the launch of an ESS (Educational
Scholarship Scheme) for promoting higher education.
Under ESS, CREDAI
will be offering scholarships to deserving students who are pursuing full-time
degree / post graduate degree courses in civil engineering or / management
degrees related to real estate sector at any of the colleges or / institutes
recognized by the AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education).
CREDAI has taken up
the education initiative to encourage youth to play a major role in the nation
building activities. The institute will focus on providing education in
finance, management, planning & many other aspects of real estate sector.
