Broadcast media opens the eyes of the public to what's going on, informs them the current happenings and promotes freedom of knowledge. Broadcast Media keeps on developing latest avenues for presenting hands on information, live news and stories on public affairs.

Current researches reveal individuals suffering from social isolation can employ television as a way of deflecting feelings of loneliness and social deprivation. All over the world, television and radio are very powerful and effective learning tools for students. Issues like social discrimination, human rights violation, political corruption etc have come to limelight through challenging television journalists

History signifies October 14, 1968 as the day of beginning of live television broadcast.

On this day, NASA's Apollo 7 transmitted the first live TV broadcast from a manned US spacecraft.
