Current researches reveal individuals suffering from social isolation can employ television as a way of deflecting feelings of loneliness and social deprivation. Issues like social discrimination, human rights violation, political corruption etc have come to limelight through challenging television journalists
History signifies October 14, 1968 as the day of beginning of live television broadcast.
On this day, NASA's Apollo 7 transmitted the first live TV broadcast from a manned US spacecraft.
CMPA (Centre for Media & Public Affairs) celebrates OCTOBER 14 (2012) as the Broadcast Media Day to encourage the media fraternity in India to perform at par with the global standards and reach excellence!
