CREDAI has said it will fund construction of houses for families of about 30
differently abled persons in the Delhi
NCR (national capital region).
As part of its CSR (corporate social responsibility), CREDAI NCR would help Habitat for Humanity India (HFHI) and Madok Foundation in developing these houses at Mundka & Bahadurgarh area.
CREDAI-NCR said in a statement, "The project involves building low cost & disabled friendly houses for about 30 identified families. As one member in each family is differently-abled, special care has been taken to incorporate differently-abled-friendly features in the construction process. The project is in association with HFHI. It is the implementing partner for constructing the houses and CREDAI NCR the primary donor for funding the project".
Every house comprises of a living room, a kitchen & an attached toilet with underground septic tank providing good living conditions to the underprivileged section of the society.
Madok Foundation played an instrumental role in acquiring the land. Delhi government allotted nearly 12.5 square meter (134.5 square feet) plot of land per family. The project is scheduled to get completed by the end of October 2012.
