CMPA Celebrates World Humanist Day - June 21

Centre for Media and Public Affairs (CMPA) celebrated 'World Humanist Day' in Chennai to promote the positive values of Humanism. The core committee of CMPA met this morning to pledge for promoting the values of humanism and democratic values in the Indian society.

World Humanist Day is celebrated on June 21 every year, as per the guidelines of International Humanist and Ethical Union (IHEU), to spread awareness of Humanism as a means to effect change in the world.

Mr. S.Christopher, CMPA, General Secretary said, "We have maximum freedom to choose the way of life in the modern era. But, the ultimate responsibility is to inspire the hope of attaining peace, justice and opportunity for all. Let us uphold the equal enjoyment of human rights and civil liberties in an open, secular society" said
