The IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority) has floated a Web site to educate general public and insurance policyholders on various aspects of insurance.
Mr J. Hari Narayan, Chairman, IRDA, said “The Web site is an attempt to reach out to all to give certain basic generic information on the subjects in order that consumers begin to think & seek answers to questions such as what they need to buy’’
The portal name www.policyholder.gov.in is live now and feedback & suggestions on the initiative can be sent to the insurance regulator IRDA.
The creation of the Web site is part of a series of initiatives under the ‘Bima Bemisaal’ for creating awareness about insurance.
