TAFE : Impressive Track(tor) Record

Beating the industry trend, world’s third largest tractor manufacturer, Chennai based Tractors and Farm Equipment Limited (TAFE), reported a robust 30.4 % growth from Rs. 6,149 Crores in 2010-11 to Rs. 8,020 Crores in consolidated revenues for the financial year ended March 31, 2012.

Ms.Mallika Srinivasan, Chairman, TAFE  & Mr.R C Banka, President, TAFE addressed a press conference at Chennai to announce the results.

The overall tractor sales increased sharply by 26.6 % at 1,48,112 tractors as against an estimated industry sale of 6,07,213 tractors and an industry growth of 11.4% for the year.

While industry average growth in November  to March (2011-2012) was 0.66%, TAFE clocked an average growth of 28.58 % during the same period, Ms Mallika Srinivasan said.
