The BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange) said that pharma major Dr. Reddy's Laboratories will replace DLF Ltd in the benchmark 30 share Sensex.
The change will come into effect from June 11, 2012. Besides Sensex, there will also be revisions in sectoral as well as BSE - 100, BSE - 200 and BSE - 500.
According to the BSE's statement, the average free float market capitalisation of Dr. Reddy's stood at Rs. 20,992 crore in the past 3 months ended March, 2012. During the same period, the market capitalisation for DLF Ltd was Rs. 8,894 crore.
In the BSE - 100 index, Godrej Consumer Products will replace Glaxosmithkline Pharmaceuticals.
In the BSE-200 index, Indiabulls Real Estate & Britannia Industries will replace Shipping Corporation of India & Alstom Projects India, respectively.
