In India, greater number of women (as high as 40%) are satisfied with their current job and are not looking for new job opportunities as compared to men (28%). Switzerland ranked highest with 68% satisfied with their current job.
This is what a recent global research study titled The Path Forward by Accenture has suggested.
In China the percentage wise break up of satisfied male and female is male – 39%; female – 36%; Brazil, it is male – 26%; female – 36%; US, male – 45%, female – 51%, UK, male – 48%, female – 52%.
The research report will be released coinciding with International Women’s Day on March 8.
According to Accenture research, as high as 78% of women respondents manage their own careers.Compared to this, about 70% men manage their own careers.
Accenture had conducted an online survey of 3,900 business executives from medium to large organisations in about 30 countries such as Australia, China, France, India, UK & the US. In terms of accepting higher responsibilities also women are ahead of their male counterparts in India. While 76% of women accepted more responsibility or a different role to move their careers forward, 54% male respondents have done that.
