A villament is where an apartment (flat) ends and a villa begins. It's a concept that's gaining popularity with those who want the luxury of a villa and yet crave the comfort and convenience an apartment affords.

It's a marketing strategy where offer the privacy of a villa and the facilities of apartment. Sametime prices of villas may be out of reach for many &  the density of apartments too claustrophobic for some, villaments will bridge the divide. The concept of a villament, which offers them a villa lifestyle at low prices.

Difference Between Villaments & apartments..!

Villaments cost about 30-40% more than average flats and about 20 -30% less than average villas.
A villament gives you the privacy, space, and oodles of greenery; at the same time, it offers the vibrancy of apartments, security and the price of a high-end apartment.

Typically, a villament block would have 4 to 8 units in each block, with the ground-floor apartments getting garden space, the middle floors enjoying a lot of balcony space, and the apartments on the top floor getting their own terrace space.

Habitat Ventures has just launched Habitat Crest Villaments in Bangalore's Whitefield. Each villament has an exclusive green space of upto 1,250 sq. ft, enabling to create your own kitchen garden, zen garden/barbecue pit. There are just 5 houses in each tower with space for three cars in the basement. The Habitat Ventures is building 150 villaments that would have corresponded with 400-450 houses in an apartment complex and 40-50 houses in a villa project.

Mr. Syed Beary, CMD, Bearys Group (Bangalore based real estate developer) said,''The concept of villaments was pioneered by the group in its project, His Grace, in Mangalore, in the year 1993".

Villaments is the new buzzword in Bangalore's real estate lexicon.
