About 60 flats, most located in 2 towers of the Common wealth Games Village, were sealed on recently by the DDA (Delhi Development Authority). These flats belong to developer EMAAR MGF & have already been sold.
Two of the 34 towers were completely sealed 28 flats in tower 5, and about 36 flats in tower 15. One flat on the top floor of tower 7 was also sealed.
According to EMAAR MGF, “Some DDA officials & police illegally and forcefully entered the Common wealth Games Village complex and sealed towers 5, 15 and one flat in tower 7.... Till date Emaar MGF has not received any order of sealing from the authorities concerned.... The sealing is illegal.’’
The DDA had earlier tried to seal these two towers, but it was not allowed by the Appellate Tribunal of the MCD after the developer approached tribunal.
