Shriram Properties planning to take up housing projects in Rajahmundry and Vijayawada.
According to Mr. M Murali, MD,Shriram Properties, "The projects in Rajahmundry and Vijayawada were still in the preliminary stage, and sites had to be acquired for them. We are keen on taking up housing ventures in the two coastal towns and later in other towns of Andhra Pradesh as well.
He also said ,''Shriram group was focussing on middle class and upper middleclass housing ventures, but not on luxury housing for the affluent sections. There is a huge housing scarcity and unmet demand in the country. It is estimated that there is a deficit of 2 crore houses right now and it is bound to increase. Therefore, there is room for any number of developers."
