Indian serviced apartments major, Ascott has launched its second property, Somerset Greenways, in Chennai. It developed jointly with the Chennai based infrastructure development company Rattha Group, the property has 187 fully loaded apartments sporting price tags upwards of Rs 8,000 a day.
Apart from this, Ascott has 5 properties -2 in Bangalore; and one each in Chennai, Hyderabad and Ahmedabad - in various stages of development involving an investment of over Rs 1,250 crore.
Tamilnadu capital Chennai houses many IT and IT-enabled services companies and several major automobile manufacturers and there must be a huge untapped demand for serviced apartments to cater to the ever increasing number of expatriates in the city.
