Ashiana Housing, which specialises in retirement resorts, is planning to build residential units for senior citizens in Kolkata. The project, named Utsav, will be custom made for the elderly, with adequate provision of community services like medical facilities and security arrangements.

For this Ashiana Housing has entered into an agreement with Kolkatabased Bengal Shriram Hitech to acquire land and set up 500 flats on a 10.25 acre plot in Uttarpara nearly 20 kilometres from Kolkata.
Bengal Shriram Hitech is a subsidiary of Shriram Properties Ltd.

The Utsav will be a part of the 300 acre township that Bengal Shriram is planning to set up in the area.
