Regulate Realty Sector: CAI Seminar October 1, 2011

A Bill is to be presented to the Lok Sabha by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation (MHUPA), GOI. 
Consumers Association of India (CAI) believe that this Bill is very essential to protect the consumer. Amongst the variety of complaints that we get from consumers the number of such complaints on matters related to housing, apartments, flats, building contractors, dominate.
In order to discuss the provisions of the proposed Bill amongst the various Stakeholders in housing, CAI is organizing a seminar on this subject. The output from the discussions at the Seminar shall be fed back to MHUPA to enable them fine tune the Bill prior to presentation to the Lok Sabha.
