Mr. G M Rao, chairman of the GMR Group, has announced a grant of $ 2,50,000 to NRIVA, US, to serve the poorest of poor in India.
Rao who was awarded the lifetime achievement award by NRIVA (Non-Resident Indian Vasavi Association) at its first global convention in Washington recently, made the announcement there.
According to a press release from NRIVA, G M Rao may consider further grant if the money is spent with a clear objective and fulfilling its purpose. The NRIVA was started in the US during 2007 with a theme of connecting people across the globe.
