Actor Shahrukh Khan to open new five star hotel in Kollam
Bollywood actor Mr. Shahrukh Khan will launch The Raviz, a 5 star hotel with 7 star facilities standing on the banks of the Ashtamudi lake in suburban Kollam, Kerala on August 19, 2011.
According to B Ravi Pillai, a leading non-resident entrepreneur and chairman and managing director, and Jay Chandran, vice-president, The Raviz., The Kerala chief minister, Mr.Oommen Chandy, will inaugurate a function to be held in this connection.
The Union minister for tourism, Subodh Kant Sahay, will dedicate the hotel property to the public and the Union Minister for Overseas Indian Affairs, Vayalar Ravi, will deliver the keynote address.
The Leader of the Opposition, V S Achuthanandan, will inaugurate the convention centre attached to the hotel. The Minister of Commerce and Industry, Kingdom of Bahrain, Mr Hassan Fakhro, will launch a guest house attached to the hotel.
The Raviz sports a blend of colonial and traditional Travancore architecture and has been designed by noted architect Eugene Pandala.
It has 90 guest rooms with a view of the lake.
There are also two traditional cottages and two villas with private swimming pools.
The hotel complex also features an ayurveda SPA
